Christmas in the Workshop? No, we will be taking a hard earned break after a very busy year!
We will be back in the workshop during what we like to call “Twixtmas”. Those semi festive, but non Bank Holiday days at the end of December. If you are reading this blog from our waiting list, we will get to you next year.
Our trainee Archie has been very busy learning to sew under the expert tutelage of Niki at Niki’s Soft Furnishings. He has also been learning to drive with the fantastic Belt Up Driving School in Plymouth. He passed his Driving Test just before Christmas – Congratulations!
Our favourite workshop restoration this year was this 100yr-old heirloom, Edwardian Club Chair. We were able to sympathetically recover it in a fine leather supplied by Crest. You can read about the process here.
Over the summer we decided that our website needed a revamp and contacted the Web Design and SEO Company. Their team not only delivered this shiny new website, but also came up with a great logo which is more closely aligned with our mission and values.
A day out at the Cornwall Business Show resulted in new contacts and new opportunities. Andrew Marks Furniture Services is please to announce that all staff will be attending Dementia Awareness training next year.
The cherry on the cake of 2022 was gaining our Trading Standards Approved status. As far as we know, we are the only furniture repair and upholstery company in Devon and Cornwall to achieve this.
Finally, no Christmas in the Workshop post would be complete without our Seasons Greetings. Andrew Marks Furniture Services would like to wish all of our clients, customers and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you for trusting us with your heirloom furniture, your emergency furniture repairs and everything else in between.
